In the hamlet of Castel San Pietro and on the wine route Monferrato, is this historic country house with tastefully furnished apartments in warm colour. They are divided into two buildings: the main building 'Farmhouse' and 'Wine Resort' which is next door.

Try the wine and other delights

Here of course you can try the good red wine that Ca 'San Sebastiano produces, the main one being Barbera del Monferrato but there are also others. Furthermore, they produce jams and cakes biscotti which might appeal to your sweet tooth! The wine is produced approx. 2 km away, but the tastings take place in the area where you stay.

Taste the local flavours

If you want a break from cooking you can dine in the restaurant in the second floor on some evenings, as it is open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and some Wednesday's. It's a great chance to try the local cuisine and the agriturismo's own products. Alternatively, you'll find another restaurant in the village around 400 metres away Trattoria del Centro which serves rustic and traditional dishes. You can even walk there. Otherwise you can enjoy light lunches at the resort, and you can even order a take-away to eat in your own apartments. Note If you wish to dine on Sunday, arrival day, please notify the hosts in advance so this can be arranged. If you wish to cookf or yourselves, there is a COOP supermarket in Trino Vercellese approx. 6 km away where you can shop.

The inviting common areas

There is an on-site reception and fine vaulted ceiling that creates atmosphere along with the decor. You will also find a bar and breakfast room where you can buy breakfast instead of eating it in your apartment. The breakfast is buffet style with several homemade products. It is also possible to eat breakfast on the common terrace on the second floor.

Soothe away your troubles in the Jacuzzi

Take a few hours, or days, as you wish by the pool which is in front of the main building. Here you can also enjoy a soothing Jacuzzi, whilst the children have the children's pool with a shallow depth of 50 cm. Weddings are held here from time to time, but the pool will always be reserved for overnight guests. You'll also find plenty of opportunity to pamper yourselves in the wellness area at the 'Wine Resort' next door. This includes the 'Acquavitae' department with a small pool, jacuzzi and sauna - open Friday-Sunday for a surcharge, and 'Divinum' which can be booked privately for a surcharge, where you can take a winebath (!), a hammam and a jacuzzi). It is also possible to rent bicycles on site, ask for details at reception, and there is plenty of parking space for everyone.

Family vacation

Nice place. The apartment is decorated very personally. We were 14 family members, and we had to get around and admire each others apartments. They were far from danish taste, but it was lovely Italian ?? We had been warned about mosquitoes from time to time, and that is probably the only thing, we're tired off. There were LOTS of mosquitoes.
We ate a couple of times in their restaurant. It was a nice experience.

Wonderful stay!

Super lovely and VERY peaceful place, the place is well kept, and our apartment was really fine, with good room, bedroom and kitchen.
The only bad thing was the bed, which isn't made for Scandinavian people above the height of 180 cm, and it was also a bit wobbly.

Lovely area by the pool, even though the pool isn't particularly big, so it doesn't take long to swim the 100 lanes??
But the place is optimal if you just want to gear down, and where the only noisy element are the cicadas.

A mixed experience...

Our experience at "San Sebastiano" was a mixed experience. The apartment itself completely lived up to our expectations - lots of room, nice and clean, and lovely decorated. However, the sofa bed in the living room was simply horrible, so we had to move the mattress to the floor, so our oldest son could get some sleep. We understood from our fellow travellers, that the same applied to the other apartments.

The place is really nice, with a restaurant and a lovely garden.

The pool was a lot smaller, than it appeared on the pictures we had seen of the place, so it was a disappointment. Our children had a great time in it, so it "worked" anyway. Around the pool there was a lot of bees and wasps, due to the water. Several from our party was stung. Likewise, there was a huge amount of mosquitoes in the evening, and they didn't care about the remedies, we had brought. So we've gotten more mosquito bites than ever before. We've been on vacation in Italy at several similar locations, and we've never experienced anything like it.

The service at the place weren't completely fine. Most of the time there were some young girls in the reception, who didn't quite had control of the situation.

Even though the place is nice, the other stuff makes it a place, we don't want to return to.
