Hotel Pironi is housed in an exceptionally beautiful 15th Century building in the middle of the distinctive historic town of Cannobio, just a few metres from Lake Maggiore's shore. Here you and your partner will thrive in the intimate and peaceful setting which was once home to Franciscan Monks.

Welcome to the Hotel Pironi

Hotel Pironi seems to make a distinctive impression on everyone that visits, that is in the initial sense, it’s character and beauty take your breath away. It is full of original features such as the original frescoes, antiques and vaulted ceilings which all combine to create a magical atmosphere.

The gentle restoration

The hotel has been carefully and lovingly restored with great respect to the original features and architecture. Despite it being a character period hotel, there is still an elevator! It has been very elegantly integrated with a beautiful 17th Century wooden door covering its entrance.

Atmospheric common areas

When you first arrive you will encounter a pleasant reception area. Other memorable rooms include the room in which you will enjoy the buffet breakfast which is an eighteenth century jewel, with frescoed walls and ceilings and an original terracotta floor. Then there is the added bonus of the enchanting lounge also with enchanting frescoes, comfortable sofas and antique furniture where you can relax with a good book.

You can even have a swim

Since the owners of Hotel Pironi also own a nearby hotel Park Hotel Villa Belevedere, approx. 1 km away, you can enjoy a swim in the pool here during your Holiday. The pool is open from 11.30 to 19.00, and it has a lovely garden with sun loungers and a playground. You can also hire bikes from the hotel if you fancy a ride on two wheels.

12 stylish and original rooms

The 12 rooms are all different in form and expression, but the warm colour scheme and good taste is consistent throughout. The style is elegant, with many antique furnishings. Rooms also include a special character, in that all the bathrooms will be appreciated by retro-lovers: the small yellow, brown and green tiles are from the 1960's.

The rooms are spread over three floors and also differ in the sense that some have balconies, some have arches with fresco paintings, views to the lake, or the old town and level differences. All rooms are however equipped with a private bathroom with a toilet and shower or bath, TV, telephone, mini-bar and a safety deposit box.

Three of the rooms have interior steps (to and from the bathroom) and are therefore not suitable for guests with disabilities. The triple loft room has loft space for the third person, whilst the quadruple room has two sleeping area. These rooms do not have balconies.

Parking options

Upon arrival you can drive up near to the hotel to drop off your bags but the old town is car free. The hotel offers free parking in an open parking space or garage for an extra charge. Both parking facilities are located approx. 200 metres from the hotel. Breakfast is served as a buffet in the breakfast room.
