One cannot claim Cartosio to be among the most exciting and lively centres in Italy. A quiet little town with a population of 800 and only little to attract tourists would be a more apt description.
There may not be any high culture to appreciate, but the scenery in Valle d’Erro is beautiful, the atmosphere charming and the air pure. And we must not forget the interesting fortress and tower from the Middle Ages, nor the fine little church Sant’Andrea from the late Baroque period.
There are also many good and cheap restaurants close to the town, and is eating and drinking not one of the most important reasons for visiting Piedmonte?
