At Albergo Castiglione you will feel at ease. The hotel is particularly evocative and well-restored with a special atmosphere inside that ensures a comfortable and relaxing stay. The hotel is located in the old village of Castiglione Tinella yet you get to use the pool with panoramic views just 500 metres away. Traffic is almost non-existent in this cosy medieval area.

Pool with panoramic views

It is a pleasant change to stay at a hotel in the middle of an old village and yet be able to use a pool in the middle of a green oasis with vineyards as far as the eye can see. The pool is very tastefully designed with a refined shape in a stone setting. Here, there is everything you need to be able to fully relax at the poolside including tables, chairs, sun loungers and parasols. In addition, there is a beautiful wooden sundeck and a building with indoor and outdoor showers, a sauna, a Turkish bath, toilets and a vending machine with snacks and drinks. Note that these facilities are available only when the pool is open.

14 good and relaxing days in Castiglione Tinella

Albergo Castiglione offers both hotel rooms and apartments. We stayed in one of the apartments, which was located in the lonely little town at the top of one of the hills (which we in Denmark probably would call mountains) in the are. From the apartment and the town there was a beautiful view of the slopes with vineyards and other highly located villages.
We got received very nice. The receptionist had beforehand made a long list with attractions, places to eat, shopping facilities, tips and tricks and asked if had any requests. When we told that we would like to take a bike ride around the area, the list got extended with places relevant when you're on a bike. We also got a glass of the hotel's own Moscato (the hotel has a winery) which tastes wonderfully and some of Piedmont's own characteristic hazelnuts, which smells like nutella :-).
The hotel's relax-zone, which is an area with a small swimming-pool, garden recliners, parasols, etc., is very welcoming - and if you order lunch at l'albergo you get it delivered to the area - delicious.
In the town there's one - good - restaurant, a small grocery store and a bar. If you like total relaxation a stay here is absolutely recommendable.
The staff at the hotel was during the entire stay accommodating, helpful and service-minded.
