Some of the buildings date back from the 1700s and the villas date from the 1800s. It has a very scenic position on the hillside overlooking the lake. There is a parish Church San Rocco and a breathtaking view from Villa Negri both of which are important examples of architecture in the village.
In Miasino you will find a pharmacy, a restaurant, a grocery store ('Margherita') and petrol station. The distance down to Orta San Giulio's centre with its medieval atmosphere and cosy squares is around 5km. In the neighbouring village of Armeno (about 2 ½ km) there are larger supermarkets and other shops.
