Villa Allegra is a splendid mansion dating from 1890, set in glorious green surroundings overlooking Lake Orta and Monte Rosa in the background. The air is as fresh as fresh can be in this estate at over 500 metres above sea level. It is possible to rent a sailboat on a daily basis from Villa Allegra's private jetty down at Lake Orta.

Walk to the village and supermarket

Originally, the villa was built as stables for a manor house in the area, and the horses head on the gable is testament to this. The current owners have taken great care with the restoration and its period character is still highly prevalent. The nearest village of Miasino has a supermarket and is within walking distance (about 600 metres), while it is approx. 3 km down to Lake Orta and the medieval town of Orta San Giulio and 3 km from Armeno, which has a slightly larger supermarket. There are also two restaurants within a short distance (about 300 m + 800 m).

Classy apartment.

Vi had a lovely vacation in Villa Allegra. The apartment is classy and full of charm. Nothing was missing at all. Big full-equipment kictchen, big bathroom and bedroom and the decoration was well thought trough. House and garden is really maintained good. We were welcomed by Marchella who also has ideas of what to see in the area.

We can recommend the restaurant "Bread and Wine" down at the city square. We brought our own bicycles, but it is not the best tour down to the city, so we came up with parking our car at the station ( free parking at the grass) and then take the bike from there to the sity.
We would like to recommend a vacation in Villa Allegra, if you are up to a quiet and peaceful holiday in beautiful surroundings.

Perfect staying - feels like being at home

We spent 5 nights in September 2015 at Villa Allegra and we were really satisfied. We were on a family trip with mom, kids and their girl/boy friends. There was enough space for all of us. Villa Allegra is placed in lovely surroundings with view towards the Orta lake and close to the main city Orta San Giulio (5 minuttes by car).

They welcomed with open hearts and we really felt like being at home.

Casa Sera

We have just enjoyed a very nice week. We felt welcome right from the first moment, all three of us (we brought our dog with us). Our dog loved the lovely, large garden with a view that beats most. All there is left to say is that this was our first time at Villa Allegra but definitely not our last time.

Lovely apartment

Our apartment in Villa Allegra was lovely and practically decorated, and no facilities were missing. There was a nice calm, despite some car noise from the street. You should not pick this place if you want a beach holiday. Access to the lake (which is lovely clean) isn't easy, the parking conditions is impossible/difficult, and there is a long and twisty mountain road (without a sidewalk) if you to walk down there. The view is beautiful, we especially enjoyed it every night, when we were dining at "Battle of Britain", which is a lovely Italian restaurant within walking distance. The driveway to the property is on a slope, simultaneous there is a closing mechanism to the gate, which is stuck in the ground, this leads to several cars being stuck with their back bumpers (especially big and long cars, due to the very sloping terrain) We had to get our car serviced with a broken bumper, when we got home. We told the owner at or departure, and she confirmed, that she was aware of the problem, and that it would be fixed before next year (which didn't help us...)
