Mombaruzzo is a village with about 1,100 inhabitants in the province of Asti. It is especially known for its iconic "amaretti" and for DOC wines, such as, for example, Barbera d'Asti and Brachetto d'Acqui. The medieval village Mombaruzzo is well worth a visit. Visit the Romanesque church of Santa Maria Maddalena, the fortress Torre Civica and the Church of Sant'Antonio Abate. Make a detour to Nizza Monferrato, around 9 km and the tranquil Acqui Terme, about 16 kilometers. Turin and Genoa are about 100 kilometers away.
