Mont'forde is a really lovely town with a lot of local activity, and where tourists in no way rule.
The apartment is best suited for an adult holiday.
We did wish there was some information about the local conditions, like the whole town (restaurants and stores) being closed every Tuesday!
Furthermore, you should be aware that the apartment lies 2 km outside of town. The road from the town to the apartment is very busy with very heavy traffic (wine farmers with their tractors, etc) and that means you won't feel like walking into town.
Wonderful, small towns: La Morra, Barolo, etc, are worth a visit.
In La Morra, the restaurant; More et Maschine, is warmly recommended. We ate there multiple times, we recommend booking a table.
Combining a trip to each one of the many smaller wine producers, Søt in Monteforde, for example, and one the bigger producers is a good idea.
It gives a fine picture of how wine is produced.
