This is something of a rarity: If you're looking for a small, cosy country house in the middle of the vineyards with a pool and few apartments with private outdoor areas, then Bricco Torricella will fulfill all your wishes. The apartments are bright, spacious and tastefully decorated - neither too modern nor rustic. And several of them can accommodate families of up to 7 people.
Here you stay on a scenic hilltop at 550 m.a.s.l. with wonderful views to admire, and in fact Bricco means a hill slightly higher than others in the area. The friendly landlady Bruna waits to greet you and has some knowledge of English at a basic level. which is useful. The surrounding vineyards are owned by the place itself, but some of the land is rented by others. You can buy their wine on site and enjoy it on one of the viewing terraces. Here it is peaceful and you'll get a real taste of the countryside.
Up by the pool the prospect to say the very least is panoramic - and can be enjoyed from the common terrace with sun loungers and parasols. The front yard has a communal area under a pavilion also with a panoramic view.
The famous wine town of Monforte d'Alba in the middle of Langhe wine country is just about 3 km away, while the historic cultural and commercial centre of Alba is about 18 km. Excursion possibilities are endless here. In addition to being able to visit a sea of wine villages and wineries nearby, you will be within an hour's drive from the majestic city of Turin, the Alps and the Italian Riviera in Liguria. So you can easily fill a week's stay here with trips if you wish. If you would like to mini excursion without having to take the car, you can stroll around the surrounding vineyards. There is actually a hiking trail of about 1 km, which takes you through Piedmont's beautiful rolling countryside with benches along the way so you can take a rest and enjoy the surroundings.
Since the apartments have reasonably well-equipped kitchens you can easily cater for yourselves at home and dine on your furnished terrace in the open. Kitchen facilities vary, some have a dishwasher, and some have ovens, whereas some have microwaves. See the specific apartment description for details. If you don't feel like cooking, you can walk to the neighbouring plot where you will find Agriturismo Torricella with a restaurant open all week except for Mondays. Also there is the Della Posta around 800 metres away, and many very good restaurants in Monforte d'Alba just 3 km away.
There is a small communal laundry facility available here with both a washer and dryer (surcharges payable on site). For parents with children it may be reassuring to know that the site is next to a road, but a bit on the end of a small private road and the place is closed in by fences and a gate. There is also a communal barbeque, Wi-Fi in the apartments and in some public areas as well as table tennis. Finally, of course there is free parking.

We (family of 2 adults and a baby of 7 months) began our 3-weeks stay in Italy with a week at the beautiful country home Residence Bricco Torricella in the middle of the Langhe wine district. The hostess Bruna and her husband are incredibly nice and friendly and they take good care of the place and their guests. The place is located with a beautiful view and wonderful calm, just a few kilometers from the town Monforte d'Alba. The place has few apartments, which gives an intimate sensation, exactly what we wanted. Despite the location in the country you have a short walking distance to the restaurant Agriturismo La Torricella, where we had a nice dinner out on their terrace one evening. The place also produces wines and we bought their Barolo with us home - for a vary good price!
We spent a week in Piedmont. We have visited most of the interesting sights around. Very nice scenery, nice places, good food and delicious wine.
After our day out on tour we came back to the residence where we relaxed with a glass of wine enjoying the view over the vineyards.
When you like tranquility and like to go out to visit sights and cities, this is just the right place.
The part of the town surrounding Bricco Torricella offered really beautiful and rural idyll.
We had a great view of the vineyards and even the Alps, when the mist allowed it.
By car, there wasn't far to Monforte d'Alba to shop.
Big Market in Alba was a bit further, which was necessary on Tuesdays and Sunday afternoons.
There were several wineries nearby to visit, and after excursions to some old castles, it was nice to cool off in the pool, which was suitable for children.
Residence Bricco Torricella was a lovely place, and hosts were friendly.
A magnificent place to live during your holiday. An incredible view, and a very well suited facade, very clean apartments and very well arranged. Ideal location (15 minutes from the villages, 30 mins from Alba). We had a really lovely holiday.
Perfect stay at a fantastic location and really nice apartment which exceeded all expectations. Great that the area is closed off and perfect with a pool - even though it was too cold to use it. The short distance to Monforte makes it convenient and easy to arrive at shopping and restaurants. We used the restaurants the hosting couple recommended us, and we can warmly recommended it to others.
