Located at 800 metres above sea level in the middle of the Apennines on the border of Liguria is the pleasant peaceful village of Moretti. Moretti is a tiny town with just 1171 inhabitants in 2003, but despite its size it has some hotels, four in fact. What Moretti lacks in size and action (there is neither much in the way of nightlife nor much of cultural interest on offer) it more than makes up for with its peace, quiet and natural beauty. The scenery is magnificent, the air is fresh and it’s quite close to both Liguria’s coast and to the cultural centre of Turin. There are some great hiking trails here. The beach at Varazze is just 34 km away, whilst the viticultural towns of Acqui Terme and Asti are 24 and 70 km away respectively.
