Here you stay right on the edge of Lake Orta, surrounded by the green hills of Pettenasco with wonderful lake views and quiet surroundings. Make the most of the endless lake views by taking your place on a sun lounger by the lovely pool. Pettenasco is just 700 metres away and the historic city of Orta is just 3 kilometres away.
There is plenty of opportunity to relax here on the hotel's sun terrace at the panoramic heated-pool whilst taking in the wonderful lake views. There is also a large roof terrace which is a great spot for some lake photography. There is also a bar so you can guarantee to get your favourite tipple to help you relax. If you wish to arrive by boat, there is small private jetty and moorings making it possible. From here you can even hire a motorboat and go water skiing. The hotel has a renowned restaurant, where well-prepared dishes can almost be described as gastronomic works of art. There are also 450 different wines on sale, which can also be purchased to take home at favourable prices. The restaurant offers a magnificent view of lake from which the lake's fabled small island Isola di San Giulio is also visible. The breakfast is a buffet and can be enjoyed either inside or out.

The atmosphere is warm and cosy and you are made to feel very welcome. Almost all of the hotel's 60 rooms have direct lake access and are either standard or superior. Several rooms can accommodate up to 4 people. There is a bit of noise emanating from the nearby coastal road but all of the rooms have double glazed windows to reduce the annoyance from this. You can also rent bicycles from the hotel so if you feel like exploring further a field and don't want to take the car, then you can do so on two wheels. Likewise since the train station is only 500 km away from the hotel, you can easily explore other areas from here by jumping on a train or arrive easily by train. The train to Milan takes approx. 2 hours with a change in Novara, but please note that the last train leaving Milan to here is late afternoon/early evening.

We only stayed here for one night, but we will return next year for a longer stay!
The area and the view to Lake Orta doesn't get better. Our room was clean and neat and with REAL comfortes (SO nice after a week with sheets and Tuscan woolen blankets ;-)
Incredibly nice bathrooms, where everything was new. We had ordered a standard double room with balcony and lake view, but were upgraded to a Superior double room with balcony and lake view, and it was all worth it!!
From the balcony, we had the most breathtaking view over the lake, mountains, the small villages and the island of Isola San Giulio.
We ate the most wonderful dinner at the hotel, and even if it seemed a bit 'fancy' there was also child-friendly meals to get. It was not cheap, but reasonable compared to the standard.
We drank coffee at the most beautiful outdoor restaurant, where the roof was decorated with grapevines and a beautiful evening sky did the magic.
We travelled with 2 children age 6 and 11, and they were as excited about this place as we were. Imagine to dabble in one of Europes cleanest lakes in a sunny and warm afternoon ( 25C ) in mid October.
The outdoor areas at this place is so beautiful and well-maintained, that I would certainly say that this place deserve more than 3 suns. We would definitely return and next time for 3-4 nights!!
Good rooms with a big balcony and a fantastic view over the lake.
Both pool and lake was nice to swin in.
Approved breakfast, good bread, but no real cappuccino
The internet connection was weak and you couldn't use it on the balcony.
Good food in the restaurant, but expensive, if you eat there every night.
The best thing about the hotel is the placement by the lake and near the small Pettenassco with 2 excellent 2 pizzerias within walking distance.
