Skiing paradise in winter

A lift from Alagna takes you to Salati pass, at 2980m, which in turn shortens the approach to the high peaks of Monte Rosa, and during winter offers great possibilities for skiing and free-riding. It is for this reason that the area of Alagna earned the nick name of “Free-ride Paradise”. The peaks offer slopes for all the levels including
Val Sermenza, Val Mastallone and Val Vogna to mention a few.

The word "Val" in Italian means valley and the 'Sesia' part comes from the river Sesia.
