Vesime is a typical Piedmontese village with about 700 inhabitants in the south of the province of Asti. It is located on 220 m.altitude.
The langhe, located in the Asti province, differs markedly from langhe around Alba, where the vineyards dominate the landscape. Here is a harmonious blend of woods, fields and vineyards. The area is perfect for those who want to hike and enjoy the open views from the high langhe out to the fields, meadows and medieval towers. From some vantage points you can see both the sea and the Ligurian coast and even the Po Valley.
The many and lush meadows make the area suitable for sheep and goats, whose milk is used for production of the tasty cheese Robiola di Roccaverano, a rare cheese that is worth the trip. It is available in both a fresh and a conserved version.
