With Alghero's vibrant city centre on your doorstep, you'll have every opportunity to enjoy the mild climate and delicious cuisine in many cosy trattorias during your holiday.
You can walk to the beach from here, and there are a number of excursions that you can take including boat trips from the port. Other towns worth exploring are Bosa and Stintino, Nuraghe and Capo Caccia, but you will need a car to get to these. Cars are only allowed to enter the historic town centre for the pickup / delivery of baggage between the hours of 08:30 and 10:30 and again between the hours of 14.30 to 16.30. You are likely to get a ticket if you try to drive though the city outside of these hours. The car should therefore be parked outside the city centre.
