Bosa is an exceptionally charismatic and cosy town located in the beautiful northwest corner of Sardinia. The town is dissected by a river which runs down from the Bosa mountains behind, then a further 2 km to the sea.
A palm tree lined promenade aligns the river in the old town with cafes periodically placed along it and a lively and charming atmosphere. There is also a commercial area which runs parallel to the river where you can find a good selection of shops for every taste and wallet. The town's pretty coloured houses create a really pleasant setting.
Bosa has two main piazzas, the largest of the two especially is the setting for a great Italian atmosphere with outdoor activities and events in the summer. Behind the main streets of the town the landscape ascends via narrow and windy streets and the higher you go, the greater the charm is. The town has this special atmosphere and for this reason has been a place of inspiration for artists throughout the ages.
In terms of dining out, Bosa has a good selection of restaurants and pizzerias where you can enjoy Sardinian specialties as well as Italian traditional dishes. If you stay in the centre of Bosa, you can enjoy the charming atmosphere whilst at the same time you are only 2 km away from the sea and sandy beaches.
The coastline between Bosa and Alghero meanders beautifully, revealing one stunning bay after another and the sea invites you to enjoy all types of sailing and water sports.
