Cabras is located a few kilometres from the larger town of Oristano in Sardinia's beautiful west coast. The area around Cabras is rich in vineyards and Spanish towers.
The evidence shows that the town dates back to the 17th Century and you can find some old church ruins dating back to this period in the centre. In the centre of town there are 3 - 4 nice restaurants, two of which are of a very high standard. There are also cafes and bars and some small shops. Worth a visit is the church of San Salvatore which was built in 1800 and whose water was said to have healing powers.
