Find many opportunities for entertainment and dining

Since this is Sardinia's largest city, you will find a rich culture and history with much to see and do. You will find theatre, ballet, outdoor concerts in the summer months and many cosy restaurants where you can taste the fresh fish caught daily. Furthermore, you will find many shops with something for everyone.

Beaches from paradise

The entire south coast is brimming with white sandy beaches of various shapes and sizes, with the most turquoise blue sea. The shores are usually quite shallow also which makes it safe for your children to bathe and not get out of their depth easily. Poetto beach is not far from the city centre and this is considered to be one of the most beautiful beaches in Sardinia. Also nearby are Villasimius, Costa Rei (east of town) and to the west there is Santa Margherita di Pula and Chia.

A gateway to Sardinia

Cagliari serves as a gateway to Sardinia with its airport and its port, where several ferries from the mainland dock, but you can shame also use the city as a base if you want to combine a city break with beach holiday. We recommend that you rent a car when you come here, to give you absolute freedom to discover the magnificent island.
