Located at the foot of the Gennargentu mountains, yet only 8 km from the coast, this is a wonderful option for people seeking peace and quiet and nature, yet with the need to also visit the beach. There is of course the popular restaurant here, so you can be sure to dine well after a day at the beach or by the pool.
The pool area here is very inviting in its pretty countryside setting. From here you can gaze across the landscape with the mountains in the background and in the evening when the pool is beautifully lit, you can see right down to the lighthouse in Arbatax. The pool has a good size and there is also a children's pool, a jacuzzi, a shower and toilets
Read more about Agriturismo I Mandorli
I Mandorli is locally well known for its cuisine. Dishes range from local variations of ravioli, pork and many other pasta and meat dishes of local and Italian origin. You can stay half-board, which is payable directly on site - or lunch / dinner (please ask for details on arrival). In addition, you can also dine à la carte - or order a light meal for lunch by the pool. The ingredients come mainly from their self-sufficient farm that produces wine, olive oil, vegetables and pecorino cheese from the countless sheep that live in a large barn in front of the main building. The sheep create a special rural atmosphere, especially when you hear the bleating sounds at dusk which can be heard up at the restaurant. The same restaurant is used for breakfast and lunch.
When you come off the main road going to Agriturismo I Mandorli, then the last 1 km is along a gravel road, so it is recommended that you arrive during daylight hours. There is free parking in front of the property and then an outside staircase up to the restaurant and the rooms. However, you can also drive right up to the main building to unload your luggage.
The 11 rooms are located in several buildings concentrated around the main building. They are either on the ground floor or first floor and all have terraces. They all have air conditioning, a mini-fridge, a bathroom with a toilet, hair dryer and a shower. Two of the rooms are for three people, while four of the rooms are for four people (two extra beds can be bunk beds). Take advantage of the single room, you get one of the double rooms.

Beautiful, quite and lovely food. This is a great choice for a nice holiday
We had a great time here. Very nice and clean rooms, lovely food, nice atmosphere and a great pool-area (for the small and big ones) and not to mention the amazing view overlooking the hills and the mountains. We can definitely recommend this place if you want to relax in beautiful surroundings. Our children was also in love with this place
Really nice accommodation, spacious rooms and lovely surroundings. Very good food, simple but well made, maybe the best meal during the entire vacation. We arrived in the evening, so it would have been nice, if there were check-out at 12 o'clock instead of 10:15, so we could have tried the pool. A big minus was, that they didn't took card (they said. that the connection didn't work). My husband was bit by a dog, when he went running in the morning, and that also reduces the experience a bit.
When we arrived at Agriturismo in Mandorli 3 weeks ago, when we were totally sold over, how beautiful a location this old farmyard has. The panoramic almost makes you lose your breath, and it was exactly as breathtaking, as in the pictures. The employees are really sweet, and we felt incredibly welcome and really comfortable during the whole stay. When we booked in Mandorli we looked exactly for a peaceful place out in the country, relatively far from everything, and it was exactly what we got; there is no beach or small town nearby, for example. But even though Mandorli feels far from "civilization", you can reach the coast in no time in car - renting a car in Sardinia is a must. So our experience is, that you get it all here: Mountains, coast, beach and rocks. Sardinia is SUCH a beautiful island - the coast areas are fair more crowded, where as farther into the country there is more peace and quiet. Mandorli seems pretty popular and was fully booked, since it was in the Italian high season. But it didn't feel overrun or noisy in any way. Among the tourists - excluding the foreign guests - there was a lot of Italian guests, which to us, added to the authenticity of the place. The rooms are clean and nice, and the pool is well-kept and actually not overrun either, it suits well, if you wanna get lost with a book all day in the sun. The place has a lovely, little restaurant with a local Sardinian farmers-kitchen for -what we think- are reasonable money, and a lovely, informal and relaxing atmosphere. Finally we also want to point out In-Italias deeply professional and extraordinary effective handling of our booking, which we made less than a week before we went travelling. Kind Regards Barbara and Henrik.
Total peace and idyll and very friendly hosts.
