The beaches are only a short distance away from Agrigento, at Lido San Leone and at Porto Empédocle you can find lovely beaches with crystal clear waters. Near the coast of Porto Empédocle you can find the Scala dei Turchi (Stairs of the Turks), a white rock cliff formed by marl, a rock similar to limestone forming a layered composition like step like layers. The name is derived from Turkish pirates, who found the steps an easy way to climb ashore.

In case you have difficulties in choosing options, you can find 3 restaurants on the site. 1 restaurant is overlooking the pool and the other is set in the pine forest. The bar provides you with coffee, refreshments and snacks during the whole day. There is ample parking space around Baia di Ulisse and WiFi Internet access is available in common spaces. To get to San Leone you might want to rent a bicycle instead of going by car. At the reception they are pleased to help you with bicycle rental.
