Hotel Dioscuri is located just off San Leone river estuary in the district of the same name (San Leone). This is a town that serves as a holiday residence for people from Agrigento, who come to spend their summers here.
Despite the proximity to the sea and the town's lively surroundings ii is actually quite quiet here. Near the hotel there are restaurants within walking distance and after approx. 1 km along the sea promenade you will find further pubs and cafes that are open until late at night. Even during the busy holiday period, noise on the beach from discos is minimal because of the distance.
Hotel Dioscuri was originally a monastery, and has since received a thorough renovation and modernization. The ancient monk cells no longer exist, and many of the small windows have been replaced with larger glass panels and glass doors, which allow access to wide terraces furnished with table and chairs. The old convent courtyard has been covered and is now home to both the great hall and the restaurant's banquet area where the dining tables are set on a wooden deck, used especially in the case of major events, such as weddings and other formal ceremonies. Dinner can also be served at the restaurant located at swimming pool, where there is also the possibility of dining outdoors.
