A roof over your head is easy to find in any country, but to find one with such character, that meets all your family's needs with charm in abundance, in close proximity to all the pleasures that you are seeking on your Sicilian holiday ... well that is a slightly harder task. However, don't fear because it seems that Villa Laura has already found you!
As you pull up the driveway and get out of the car, you will be captivated by the views that await you at Villa Laura. You will feel like you can reach out and touch the postcard like vision of the alluring coastline of northern Sicily in front of your eyes. Because of the hillside location, you can see for miles along the coast and down to the popular town of Capo d'Orlando below, just 4km away where you can find all sorts of shops, restaurants and entertainment. On the horizon, you will see the string of Islands, known as the Aeolians. Let's put it this way, if you bring a camera, it is likely to be used a lot! In-fact we'd go as far as to say, you would be crazy not to bring a camera!

And then... the pleasure continues as you walk through the lush well tended gardens and see the pretty furnished terraces, the inviting blue swimming pool, and the enchanting countryside around you. You won't doubt that you've made the right choice. It's an oblong pool which measures (2.5 x 15 metres) with a jet so you can swim against the current and get a bit of a workout in if you get tired of relaxing! There are green lawns to the front and rear of the house, and two really nice patios with stylish and comfortable furniture which offer both shady and sun spots to dine and while away the hours. The house is at the end of a cul de sac, and is surrounded by lemon and olive groves, so you can imagine the peace and quiet, and the space that you have all to yourself here.
As you enter the house, you will feel the warmth of the stamp that Laura the owner has put on the place, and realise that it is not some impersonal holiday let, yet is actually somebody's home. You won't find Laura there now of course, she moved away to work in the city, but has arranged and furnished the house in a way so that you instantly feel at home. The furnishings are of an excellent quality with some interesting and artistic touches throughout, which all accumulate to add to the charm. The villa sleeps six in total in 3 bedrooms, with two bathrooms and a large living room, with the added bonus of a library. The library is full of interesting books and magazines which shows that Laura is quite a collector and has kindly left her collection for the perusal of guests. In general, the house is spacious, comfortable and well-equipped. There is however not a dishwasher, but this is not such a hardship since the view from the kitchen of the garden and the glistening swimming pool with a postcard like backdrop of the blue sea, will easily convince you to spend an extra few minutes in the kitchen!
You will definitely need a car here since it us up the hill from the centre of the nearest town of Capo d'Orlando - a popular spot on the coast in summer, especially for the Italians. There is a small grocery store around 2km away, but for bigger shops you need to drive for about 4km. As much as you will enjoy the location and ambience of the Villa, we are sure that you will be equally amazed by the surrounding countryside and interesting towns and villages within easy reach. You are a short drive away from the edge of Parco dei Nebrodi where 86,000 hectares of unspoilt nature, mountains, lakes, forests and typically charming Sicilian villages beckon to be explored. You can reach the historic and charming town of Cefalù in less than an hour and see a whole load of less visited yet no-less beautiful places along the way, both on the coast and up in the mountains. Really, we are certain that you will be constantly using your camera!
