You stay just 50 metres from the beach at the old port which is famous for scenes from the movie Cinema Paradiso. Outside the door you will find many great places to dine, shops and it's just a short stroll to the main piazza and cathedral.
This is a great base from where to visit other interesting places in Sicily. For example from here you can take boat trips to the volcanic Aeolian islands, or Ustica Island. Up the hill from Cefalù are the beautiful Madonie mountains where nature is abundant and where you will find charismatic towns such as Castelbuono with its huge castle. Since the town of Cefalù is mostly a pedestrian zone, if you arrive by car you must use public car parks. There is one along the promenade for a fee, or a free one 1 km up from the centre by the cemetery. Otherwise arriving here by train is ideal.
You will not be lacking in modern comforts in this apartment. You can relax on your balcony when you return from the beach or your day trip, before you go out to eat either in the narrow medieval street in the city or at one of the restaurants that has a terrace above the old city wall and looks out to sea.
