Here you not only have the beach at your fingertips, you can also sail to Ustica Island or to the Aeolian Islands from the port of the town, or take a bus ride to Castelbuono in the Madonie mountains. From the station, you have many opportunities to take a trip to Palermo's beautiful city centre, and then just to explore the historic centre of Cefalù is an experience in itself. We recommend that you spend half a day to hike up the rock La Rocca, where the ruins of fortresses and ancient temples await you.
It is easy to get to Cefalù by train from Palermo airport (changing trains at Palermo's main train station) and having a car here in the centre of town is often more bother. However, there is a car park for a fee at the beach or it is free up the cemetery, about 1 km from the centre. You can stroll up to the beautiful cathedral or up and down the shopping streets Corso Ruggiero and Via Bordonaro when you have had enough of sunbathing - and you will find many opportunities for dining out in the town.
Suites sul Molo is located right next to the water and the small sandy beach at the old port. The apartments are located in a building where local residents live, and they are bright and finely decorated - they were completely refurbished in 2014 and are also recommended for long stay, especially if you do not plan to use the sleeping places in the living rooms. Both apartments have a TV and air conditioning - Internet (mobile Wi-Fi hotspot) is available for a fee.
The apartment Nido sul Mare is located on the first floor and offers sweeping ocean views from the two windows facing Cefalù's old port. The apartment is about 48 m² and consists of a living room en suite with a loft with three single beds (most obvious for children and teenagers) and a small bathroom with toilet - there are only stairs between the living room and loft. In the loft there is a double bedroom. Note that this is a sloping ceiling and the lowest point is about 130 cm! Between the living room and the bedroom you will find a kitchen with 4 burner stove and a bathroom with a toilet and shower. The apartment has air conditioning, washing machine and satellite TV.
The apartment Casa Blue is located on the first floor. The decor is exquisite and comfortable and is highly recommended for couples, possibly with small children. The apartment is about 38 m² and consists of a living room with a kitchenette (4-burner stove and microwave), a sofabed, a bathroom with a toilet and shower and a bedroom with double bed and a private toilet room. The apartment facilities include air conditioning, television and an iron.
