Fattoria di Falconara offers beautiful rooms right next to the beach and the picturesque Castle Falconara on Sicily's inviting coast
The castle was built in the 15th Century as a defence against the Saracens and continued to be this way until the end of the 17th Century. The castle was converted into a noble residence during the 19th Century and the so-called fattoria - directly translated 'farmhouse' was built. Today it belongs to the cosy hotel building Falconara Resort, which is located on the road between Gela and Licata.

Facilities
As a guest at La Fattoria di Falconara you have the opportunity to take advantage of all the facilities at the Falconara Resort. In this new hotel building located approx. 100 yards from La Fattoria there is 24-hour reception, bar and restaurant both with terraces. The private beach is just below La Fattoria and there are parasols and sun loungers for all guests from both the Falconara Resort and Fattoria di Falconara. The well-tended garden that separates La Fattoria from the newly built hotel features a swimming pool with a waterfall and a tennis court. There is also a small beauty centre and the opportunity to use the internet via wi-fi in the hall and garden, while it can not be guaranteed from the rooms.
Restaurant
The restaurant offers a selection of fish and meat based meals and if you choose the half board option it includes an appetizer, pasta and a main course. Desserts are paid for separately as are the beverages. There is an excellent wine list including the best of Sicilian wines and a choice of some others from Northern Italy and France. The service is pleasant and professional without being intrusive, the food is tasty and based on local ingredients, offering all kinds of seasonal vegetables, the local catch of fish and meat from both Iblei and Nebrodi Mountains.
Rooms
The rooms at La Fattoria are cosy and beautifully decorated. They are all equipped with a large balcony or terrace with table and chairs, air conditioning, satellite television, mini-bar, safety deposit box and a bathroom with toilet and shower and hairdryer. They either have sea or garden views.
- Superior rooms are all on the ground floor. The rooms that face the garden have two double beds with the option of a third bed. The rooms facing the sea have a double bed and no possibility for extra beds.
- Junior Suite rooms are either the ground floor or first floor and consist of a bedroom with a double bed and a living room with armchairs and a table. There is a possibility of an extra bed in all of them.
- Deluxe rooms are either on the ground floor or first floor and can be considered in all respects as suites. They consist of a bedroom with a double bedroom en suite with armchairs and a table, as well as the possibility of two extra beds.
