Giardini di Naxos is a household name for many European countries and many tour operators send their tourists here. However the explosion of its popularity over the years has left its mark on the town like many similar Adriatic northern coastal towns such as Bibione, Lignano and Jesolo.
Many different lodgings have been developed over the years to accommodate the hoards of tourists and locals have organised a number of activities to sell to tourists. You'll find many restaurants, ice cream shops and cafes, and also a lot of traffic in the town.
Giardini di Naxos is located close to Taormina, but we believe that you will get more out of finding a holiday elsewhere in Sicily and drive a little further if you want to see Taormina. In the Giardini, there is not anything special to be experienced in addition to the holiday atmosphere. The town attracts mainly tourists who want to stay by the sea in Taormina's shadow - and here they get their needs satisfied relatively inexpensively.
