Alkantara Village is located next to Giardini di Naxo's archaeological park, approx. 750 m from the beach and its 30,000 m² are covered with lemon and orange trees and flowers. The town is 3 km away.
It's just 3 kilometres to the centre of Giardini di Naxos centre and 5 km to the train station. There are buses that run along the coast to Recanati district and to the beach that you can use if you don't wish to drive around. However if you want to make the most of this area and visit some of the main attractions such as Etna volcano, Gole dell'Alcantara, the rocks at Aci Trezza, Cava Grande del Cassibile and the beautiful towns in the hillsides, then we recommend that you use the car.
You'll find much to do at Villaggio Alkantara, starting with swimming and sunbathing by the pool while the children splash in the children's pool. You can play tennis or football, rent bikes and ride through the many orange groves, and you can even find a horse riding and diving centre nearby. You can also choose to go to the beach, either the free beaches, or the pay beaches (lido, where you rent beach umbrellas and deck chairs for a fee. Villaggio Alkanatara is associated with beach lidos in this area during July and August where you can enjoy entertainment and activities for both children and adults.
You will find the supermarket within 800 metres away so you can shop there for your supplies. It is possible to prepare some simple dishes at home on the two hotplates. However, for eating out the restaurant-pizzeria in the Villaggio Alkantara is close by and there are more restaurants in Recanati town - the same distance away as the supermarket.
Most of the properties are situated in two newly built houses, both with two floors. The apartments are extremely simply furnished but all have air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a TV and a hairdryer. One and two bedroom apartments also have a wide balcony or terrace with a garden table and chairs. It is worth noting that BBQ's are not permitted outside in this area due to risk of fire.
