The historic Torre Marabino is located in a panoramic position, between the cities of Pozzallo and Ispica. It was King Frederic II who decided to build this tower to protect the coast from Saracen attacks.
The tower and the surrounding lands were later purchased by the family of the Duke of Belmonte and the house was used as a vacation home during the summer months. Today, this old building is the property of Iblea, who produce various agricultural products and wine (you should taste their Moscato that won the gold medal at the 2009 Vinitaly competition in Verona!). On the way up to the tower, you will see several greenhouses used for growing delicious organic vegetables, and are if you interested in visiting the on-site wine cellar and tasting their wines, this is also a possibility.

Torre Marabino also has its own restaurant and we can definitely recommend this due to many reasons; the service is excellent, the atmosphere is cosy, the decor is very pleasant and last but not least, the food - there are two talented young chefs working here who produce very tasty dishes combining organic produce with local traditional dishes. The restaurant is also open to external clients but the number of tables is few which ensures adequate privacy.
In the garden set amongst olive trees there is a playground for children, a beautiful swimming pool with hydro massage and a terrace with sun loungers and parasols. At the top of the tower there is a second terrace with panoramic 360 ° views of the sea and the surrounding landscape.
The tower has a total of seven bedrooms, three with an entrance on the ground floor and a mezzanine that can sleep up to four people. They also have a small corner kitchen to prepare coffee or tea (not for cooking). This is an ideal place for families or for couples who wish to have a private outdoor space. The other rooms are on the first floor and can accommodate two or three people. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, TV, internet, mini-bar, safety deposit box and telephone. Each room also has its own bathroom with shower, WC and hairdryer. The only room that is not equipped with a kitchenette, in turn has the best view from its window. Torre Marabino is a desirable place for its peace and tranquillity. Thus, families with children should be mindful to respect the nature of this place.
