A pleasant, small hotel
Shalai Resort is a small boutique hotel and many of the guests are very fond of it's quality, because it is so peaceful and relaxing. The majestic building dates from the 1800s, and has little story to tell, as it has always been privately owned. Further down from the reception you find a bar from where you can order drinks and they offer a large selection of wines from Sicily. In Shalai Resort you will also find a good restaurant serving traditional local dishes. The style is charming and warm, and the chairs and tables in the two dining rooms is kept in a "conservatory-like" style. They serve both lunch and dinner and you can order special food such as vegetarian or gluten-free in advance. It is clear that the staff finds it important for you to be able to enjoy your stay and feel good. One floor up you will find a large communal TV room where you find a huge TV covers almost half of the wall. Here you can relax with your traveling party before it's time to retire.
A place for those who want to experience more than sun and sea

It is a lively place with a smalll beach but here you can enjoy seafood, and mark the island's special "Summer Pulse". Also close is Taormina, with its fine bathing coves and panoramic views of the coast, it only take about half an hour by car (27 km.) If you want extra relaxation, try the hotel's small wellness center where you find sauna, jacuzzi and Turkish bath and you can book various treatments.
Bright and modern rooms
The rooms are comfortable and stylish, both in terms of materials and furnishings. Some rooms have a sloping roof, some have painted ceilings and some have a different living area plan with glass walls that divide the space. The economy rooms have a double bed, Standard rooms are slightly smaller than Superior rooms, that also have frescoes from the 1800s on the ceiling.
