All cities in Madonie Nature Reserve
This is a veritable paradise for those seeking unspoilt nature, tranquillity and authentic Sicily. The park took its name from the mountain Le Madonie upon which it sits.
You will find ample opportunity to hike in beautiful surroundings here and there are several trails and routes to choose from. There are routes for experienced trekkers and those who just want to stroll around. Here the terrain is rocky and mountainous with many interesting plants and trees (the area has actually more than half of all plant species found in Italy), and the wildlife is also rich with turtles, foxes, snakes (!) and butterflies.
