Close to Cefalu and the beach
Residence Fontana Barone is located about 5 kilometers outside of Cefalu. Unfortunately the town is not within walking distance what makes you are required to take a taxi or a car. Coming by car here is not too bad as there is plenty to discover in the area around Fontana Barone and it is easy to reach the supermarket and restaurants.
If you haven’t been to Cefalu before, we suggest you to do so. The ancient town center is radiating a relaxed atmosphere anywhere you go. It features a unique phenomenon that the historic part of the town is bordering the sea. So you can actually go to the beach in the oldest part of town. The main tourist attraction, the Cathedral, is at the same time the visual magnet when you look over the historic town, from the parallel road as you approach the city from the top road. The cathedral reflects the various influence of Sicilian history, Norman, Latin, Greek and Arab. The historic part of the town and the area around it, facilitates a cosy atmosphere and plenty of restaurants, espresso bars, ice cream shops and shops. Beautiful beaches are not only to find in the historic part of town, as well as in the near surroundings and also at 600 meters from the residence you can find a lovely beach with beach service. If you are a nature freak, you came to the right spot, as the Madonie mountains and national reserve are within close range to the residence. The Madonie Park lends itself perfectly for walking, mountain biking and hiking with many wonderful routes varying in difficulty and length.
Safe and good fun for children
Residence Fontana Barone offers great hospitality and a very safe environment for children. Kids can walk around freely and go to the pool or play in the garden where is also a space to play games like table tennis, table soccer and more. The swimming pool is quite large and offers a separate part for children and is 90 cm deep with a slide. Around the pool you can find sun loungers and umbrellas for the parents to relax on. If you prefer to feel the sand between your tows, you just walk 600 meters and you are at the beach.

At Fontana Barone you can find in the garden a cozy gazebo with terrace. It is actually the outdoor bar, serving you with refreshments and light snacks. For diner, you can use the outdoor kitchen and barbeque area at your apartment. In case you like to dine out in restaurants, you are required to go out. At about 500 meters you can find the first restaurant. WiFi internet is available in the central bar area. Parking your on site is not a problem and is free of charge. In case you don’t like to rent a car, ask the hotel if they can organize you with some bicycles or scooters.
Modern and comfortable houses
Residence Fontana Barone features a total of 14 bright and cozy semi-connected 2 bedroom houses and all the houses enjoy a veranda at the central garden with pool. You have decent privacy and your veranda includes an outdoor kitchen with barbeque facilities. The houses enjoy a well equipped kitchen and a cozy living room with sofa bed and 2 bedrooms upstairs. There is one double bedroom and a twin bedroom and a shared bathroom. All houses come with air conditioner, sat TV and dining and seating facilities. The bathroom is equipped with a shower, hairdryer and free toiletries. All houses are slightly different in interior but the basic elements are all similar.
