Milo is a small municipality located in the Etna Nature Reserve. It is approx. 720 metres above sea level with only around 1,000 inhabitants. It is the smallest municipality in the Catania province if we consider the population, but definitely not boring in terms of landscape and views. It is only 12 km from here down to the blue sea and Sicilian eastern coast.
The city's heart is the main square, which offers a breathtaking view of the coastline. Behind the square is the town's church, which is devoted to the city's patron saint: St. Andreas. The peaceful surroundings and the beautiful scenery have attracted many Italian and international artists who have come here to enjoy the wine and the views, including Mick Hucknall of Simply Red, Franco Battiato and the late Lucio Dalla.
