Mondello is located on the periphery of Palermo and has long been known as the locals' favourite beach as it is one of the best in this area. It extends over one kilometre and is a beautiful setting with its fine white sand and crystal clear water for Mondellos charming square with many restaurants and bars. There are several good pizzerias and restaurants in Mondello and the fish restaurants with their appetizing displays of fresh fish are particularly attractive.
Mondellos boardwalk is beautiful and adorned with palm trees and many different shops and restaurants. There are several beautiful villas and properties parallel to the seafront belonging to the wealthy Palermitanere who flock there on weekends. There are plenty of interesting opportunities to enjoy the water for water sports enthusiasts.

We recommend Mondello for those who want a holiday by the sea, with restaurants close at hand and not least the opportunity to go to the city of Palermo, with its beautiful monuments and great shopping. It's easy to get to Palermo with the public transport from here via train or bus.
However, we would like to point out that the beach is crowded in July and August. May, June, September and October is however far more generous in terms of space on the beach.
