You will find yourself in the heart of this magical and romantic labyrinth where you can wander from piazza to piazza along windy enchanting streets, taking in the historic sites and sampling the wonderful gastronomy of the region along the way. Two of Sicily's best restaurants are just a short distance from here - Il Duomo and Don Serafino.
Apart from the central location, the biggest advantage of staying here at Giardino sul Duomo is its garden where you can rest and enjoy the view before and after exploring the fascinating city. Breakfast is served in a small room that has glass windows and a view out towards the garden, or weather permitting you can enjoy it in the garden. The family of owners are working hard to create a little paradise here in the garden, therefore offering something out of the ordinary in a city with otherwise few hotels with gardens. There are chairs, tables and loungers outside so that you can enjoy the view in comfort.

Traffic in the city is almost non-existent, and here you stay in the midst of the baroque palaces, separated by steps and narrow streets pretty close to the beautiful cathedral (Duomo), whose facade is illuminated by the sunset creating a very special atmosphere. The whole city is in fact very atmospheric and indeed one of the most historic and enchanting in Sicily.
There are just six rooms to choose from at the moment. They are not spacious but neither small, rather just a enough space, with good furnishings and a thoughtful layout. The rooms are decorated with light colours and in a minimalistic way to contrast with natural materials such as the stone walls. The beds are comfortable and can be arranged as a double or twin beds. All rooms have Wi-Fi internet access, a mini-bar, air conditioning, a safety deposit box, a television and a bathroom with a toilet, shower and hairdryer. The Junior suite has a really large bath with hydro-massage.

Michele is your great host at this little pearl in the middle of Ragusa. When we found it, after having punched the Garmin GPS in the dashboard 7000 times, just to be lead around in circles and down one-way streets, we were happy. Really happy. A small oasis of green and phenomenal view in the MIDDLE of the old quarter of Ragusa ! If it was more central you would almost have to move the baptismal font in the church ! The rooms have everything you would require and need. Everything is in great condition and if there is anything "wrong" Michele will with a 1000% certainty help you. He lives and breathes for your stay with him is 10-4. Michele were to make tiramisu (and it was GOOD) a guest would like the recipe for .... She got to make it with him and get the recipe. We, guests, ate it with the biggest pleasure.
The breakfast at the place is good-nice. Meaning that it's classic Italian with lots of sweet things and with "I-get-Scandinavian-guests" style in the form of great sausages, cheese, ham and white bread. With an espresso on the side you can make plans for the day. It's a GOOD start. Michele care about wine and you can buy quite excellent Planeta wines for a nice price at the place.
We would VERY much like to come back to Michele. He is very good at making the stay personal and present. We almost felt like we became close friends when we drove off.
This B&B is wonderfully located with a lovely garden and pool and with a wonderful view of Ragusa Ibla. We had a nice big terrace, which we enjoyed a lot.
A huge praise for those who owns the place. We got a lovely welcome and good information on the place. Very helpful regarding parking. By departure also very helpful regarding finding the new place in town. We even got to use the garden even though we stayed at another place.
A bit difficult to find. We fumbled around for about an hour before we decided to park somewhere and then find the B&B on foot. But as I said, a lot of helpfulness from the place regarding getting the car up close to the B&B.
Very nice greeting with a lot of information about the city, the history of the city and lovely dining areas.
Nice room with a wonderful garden overlooking the city, lovely breakfast, centrally located at the Duomo and friendly staff.
It was quite difficult to find parkering lots and navigate in car, and the city is not as big as it seems, so use local transportation!
