This is a great place to take a beach holiday close to shops and the beautiful Baroque cities (including Scicli and Noto). There are only 200 inhabitants here, but in summer you will find a lot more people in terms of visitors wishing to share a bit of the 8 km coastline.
The beach of Santa Maria di Focallo has repeatedly been awarded the blue flag for its crystal clear sea water, but also for the facilities found along the coast during the bathing season - usually between mid-June and early September. The wide, golden sandy beaches are really good for families with small children who will appreciate the shallow seabed. Older children and adults will love snorkelling along the rocks.
