Sant'Ambrogio is a small community, located in the Cefalù municipality on the slopes 6 km east of the medieval city centre.
The small town dates from the late 18th Century and is built around the Sant'Ambrogios church. There is basically only one road into town that runs down the mountain to the north coast old main road (SS113). Olive trees and vineyards have provided the majority of the work for the few inhabitants (about 300), and despite the proximity to the beach sea fishing has not affected the city's economy.
