You will find this lovely villa Palermo and Catania in an authentic Sicilian setting on the hillside above a nice town and village. The villa has an eco twist as it is equipped with solar panels on the roof, providing you with power and hot water.

Easy to get to

Here you stay on a steep hillside with convenient parking just outside the house. The road that the villa is on, is only used for locals passing by to get to the village above and is not particularly busy. The two kilometres to take you to the beach in Borgo San Gregorio and the coast is a short stretch of windy but well finished road.

Relax by the pool or go on excursions

You can relax by the pool at the villa which sits in the garden on the top level (in line with the house's highest floor). Depending on what time of year you come, you can pick figs, lemons and other fruits from the trees in the grounds. You can discover unspoilt nature in the beautiful Nebrodi mountains nearby. You can also reach Cefalù in an hour from here, and even closer you will find Milazzo with its harbour and old town, Tindari's Greek theatre, and quaint mountain towns like Ficarra and San Marco d'Alunzio.

Urban life, eateries and cafes

You will find restaurants in the nearby village of Borgo San Gregorio, where there are also the nearest beaches. The restaurant opening is seasonal here, mostly during the summer months. It's pretty busy during July and August but quiet during the rest of the year. The nearest town city is Capo d'Orlando, which is about 4 km from the house: Here you will find several supermarkets, banks, a pharmacy, railway station and even more restaurants. It is a town that is home to many locals and the economy does not depend on tourism. You'll find plenty of space on the 4 km long beach, and a number of beach lidos in July and August offering sunbeds, parasols, refreshments and entertainment. A walk to the top of the hill in town, where there is the old Sanctuary is worth it for the view.

The villa at Villa Marzia

The villa is on two floors, and you can get into the house from the ground on the lower or upper floor because it is on a steep slope. The ground floor contains a large dining kitchen with access to the terrace with a barbeque and sea views, a spacious living room with a double sofa bed and a small bathroom with a toilet, washing machine and shower. An inside staircase leads to the first floor where there is a double bedroom, a bedroom with three single beds and a bathroom with a toilet and shower - both bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning. From the first floor you have access to a terrace with a table and chairs, attached to the pool area.

Lovely and charming

Lovely, authentic Villa with a wonderful view and good place.

Wishes for betterments:
- Better garden furniture: plastic furniture was unstable and a very small table for such a big house.
- Air conditioning is necessary in all bedrooms (we were quickly given fans by Carlos)
- Grate for the grill
- Towels for all
