Alba is a small town in Val di Fassa and is part of the ski area, which is generally referred to as Canazei. The three cities in this area are Campitello, Canazei and Alba, and it takes only 6 minutes to reach Alba and Campitello.
All three areas have their main lift and ski area, but whereas Campitello and Canazei are connected, Alba has its own area, better known as Ciampac. It is ideal for less experienced and novice skiers. It is high in altitude but not so technical.
There are free shuttles to the Canazei lifts which are included in the price of the lift pass. It takes just a few minutes by bus from the town and there you can access the area known as Belvedere at Canazei.
There are shops, bars and restaurants in Alba, just as there is a skating rink. It is less hectic here, compared to Canazei, but very cosy, and many people return here year after year.
