Carano is a small classic ski country village located on a natural hillside in Val di Fiemme. The village is one of the most ancient in the area and has now pretty much grown together with Cavalese.

Skiing for all

As a ski resort, Carano is not particularly well known, but it is very atmospheric despite its size. There is a connection between the villages with the excellent ski bus service. The village is small but nice and here there is a local market held every Wednesday.

As the resort is situated at 1086 metres altitude, it snows often and is a good starting point for beginners. The local ski area is located at Cavalese. This way you get easy access to restaurants, bars and shops as well as Cavalese's other offerings. The local ski area in Cavalese in the Val di Fiemme has around 100 km of ski trails and slopes that are open between December to April. There are ski trails and slopes for all levels, including snowboarders.
