Throughout several years my now deceased wife Ulla and I have stayed at Residence Club Gardablú. Also during my latest visit (17.9.-24.9.16) I could conclude, that it is a well run place with tranquility - just remember to book an apartment on the 1st or 2nd floor, because from here there is a view to the lake. The apartment might be a bit old fashioned and heavy in their decoration, but everything works. Also the place's wifi! The hotel's manager through many years is a German-Italian and fiery tempered woman, who's is very talkative and helpful. The area is beautiful with small pathways and a free perfect parking lot and just very relaxing surroundings with beautiful olive groves. And it's not even expensive. Go to this beautiful place. The Lake Garda is one of the most beautiful places in the world - especially the northern part of the lake. Despite many tourists, and yes also Germans, who by the way are very nice people, there is room for everyone. Generally seen.

We love Garda Blue:) For 7 years we have spend our vacation in Brenzone on Residence Garda Blue. Unfortunately, this year we were only there for 7 days because our adult kids would like to have a family vacation with us parents. The kids went to other places in the world after this.
We would always love to go to Brenzone. It's not as filled with tourists, it only takes about 10 minutes with the bus to Malcesine, and the bus goes regularly, and you can get around to the nearby towns around Lake Garda. Residence Gardablue is in short distance to the lake. Rita, the receptionist, be in control of peace and order and she is the house's fantastic nice soul:)

Good parking opportunity by the hotel when you drive in your own car. Good location and there are cheap and good places to eat in Brenzone, where you experience the natural Italian culture and atmosphere.

This year we rented two apartments, as our grown-up kids came in the second week of our vacation. We had our own car and had easily access to the airport and attractions nearby. We enjoyed the holiday as a family! The weather was great - around 30-35 celsius and the food was delicious. The pool area was great as well!
Azzenza de Brenzone is a small and quite town. We enjoyed the silence and took small walks at the waterfront in the area. Here you can find small shops, cafes, restaurants and a cosy atmosphere. Everything just next to the beach.

Recommendations for future guests

Must try in the area:

- Villa Calikantus - Organic winery not far away from Bardolino
- Excursion to Salo, where Mussolini had his domicile
- Excursion to Cascata de Varone next to Riva del Grada
- Excursion to glacial lakes, Lago de Ledro, Lago de Idro and Lago de Valvestino - which is a great contrast to Lago di Garda.
- Excursion with the worlds biggest cable car to Mt Monte Baldo

We had a nice apartment which was clean and had a nice terrace. The "kitchenette" was very small and the apartment was a bit too warm. The apartment complex is situated in Assenza, a small village approx 5 kms from Malcesine.

Recommendations for future guests

Bring bath shoes since there are only stony beaches.
