Casa Bepi is beautifully located by one of Burano's canals by Piazza Galuppi. Behind the house there is a pair of colourful houses before the melancholic and romantic lagoon starts. Facing the apartment is a small bridge that takes you towards Burano's cathedral and its pleasant centre. Shops and restaurants are very close by, in fact nothing is far away in this small idyllic fishing community.
The apartment has recently been totally renovated so that even at high tide, which in winter can cover the lower parts of the lagoon (and large parts of Venice), it is completely dry as long as you remember to close the lower part of the door.

As an exclusive service, guests can hire a small motor boat, which can be sailed by everyone (even if you have no sailing qualifications). Our colleague in Burano will show you how to start the engine, and where you are allowed to "park" in Burano itself, so you can sail across the lagoon on your own. However, it is not allowed, nor recommended to sail to Venice as it will be impossible to get around and to "park" in the busy canals. It is also possible to hire a PDA (a small laptop computer) with satellite connection. This contains a guide to all the sights in the lagoon, and it will automatically give you information about what to see and visit in the area where you are in the lagoon.
