Hotel Marco Polo is located above the San Virgilio Bay, north of the quaint little town of Garda. It is approx. 500 m from Lake Garda and about. 1 km. to the centre of Garda. Not only is the hotel centrally located, there are also views of the lake from the common terrace where you can enjoy a refreshing drink when you're not relaxing in the garden by the pool.
A large lush garden surrounds the hotel and features a beautiful pool with an area for children, and table tennis. A café, terrace with sea views, bar with music and dance (up to twice weekly) and a restaurant are all here for you to enjoy. The price included half-board which consists of a breakfast buffet in the morning, and a 3 course dinner buffet in the evening consisting of a starter, main course and desserts with a salad buffet. The hotel provides a good base for a relaxing holiday. There are also tennis courts here and there is a free bus to Garda centre during high season. The hotel has wireless internet access in public areas. The bedrooms are large and comfortable, though nothing special. They all have en suite bathrooms, TV and telephone. In addition, they all have either a balcony or a terrace. NB: Please note that there is no air conditioning in the rooms.
The hotel itself is old and corridors where the rooms are located, may appear a little dark and dreary. This however is offset to some extent by the lovely terrace, the lush garden and the location in green surroundings. The hotel is therefore well suited for those who want to stay a relaxing and quiet place, without being forced to go out to eat every day.
