It is only 800 metres to the beach and a public bus that stops right outside the hotel will take you there. The hotel is surrounded by a lush green park with a swimming pool for both children and adults that is also shared with the sister hotel.
The decor of the hotel feels a little old-fashioned with low ceilings, wooden furniture and heavy sofas. The low ceiling and the slightly dark colors on the walls means it can feel a bit dark especially in the corridors. The hotel's rooms are simply furnished but all have a TV, telephone, bathroom with toilet and shower or a bath tub. Some of the rooms also have a balcony or terrace. Both the rooms and the common areas could do with a touch up but nevertheless it is still inviting.

There is also a restaurant at the hotel and the price also includes half board, which means that breakfast is a buffet and there is a choice of 3 different starters, main courses and desserts and a salad buffet for the evening meal. It should be noted that the food is plentiful but do not expect great gastronomic delights.
The hotel is mostly for those travellers who don't mind spartan accommodation, and who appreciate the use of a swimming pool and do not wish to go out to eat every day.

We have stayed at Palme lots of times, and it's the first time we have something we aren't satisfied with.
We travelled with children and grandchildren, but apparently there's a new head of the restaurant, at any rate there was a new face, who did the tables, and we didn't feel like there were the same kind of control of everything in the restaurant. For example when you travel together, you want to eat together, and for the first time, there wasn't a possibility for this. After a couple of meals or 3, we got a table together, but when you think about the fact that we booked in February, that's a do-over. We also thought, that when you booked that early together, you would get a room near each other, but the children/grandchildren stayed at the 3rd floor, even though there were a 4-bed-room right next to ours, which was empty most of the days we were there, and we stayed on the ground floor.. We booked in February come on.... It was lovely to stay on the ground floor, but the room itself wasn't that great. We can see that the hotel is getting a bit worn down, but the staff is kind and friendly, and at the end of the day we'll book at Hotel Palme next year :-) Then we hope to get a better room.
Its our 6th visit at Hotel Palme and everything is as great as usual. The wonderful about this place is that the hotel os located about 5 minuts from Garda city by foot. The pool area is great and the staff is kind and friendly. Its not a modern place, but its okay when the place have a lot of other good things to offer.
