We stayed almost a week at Corte Pontigliardo. It's a relatively small accommodation and the room had genrally a good standard. In our rooms, there were a kitchenette with hotplates and some tableware consisting of plates and cutlery, but no casserole. We coincidentally wanted to cook spaghetti, and the staff got shocked and said, that we aren't allowed to do that! Then why is there a kitchenette in the room?!?!
The pool area and the location itself is pretty nice. If you wish to visit one of the larger cities by Lake Garda, you need a car. It might be possible to ride a bike, but in the heat it can be a little too far, especially for little kids. The breakfast was, after Italian standards filling, good, but the selection of bread, yogurt, etc. was some days bad. Maybe they had more guests some evenings, so more bread was served, etc. It could be an explanation. but the owner should in that case be aware of it. The weather, the charm and the peace is however beyond compare. In general, a pretty good place to stay for 3-6 days, but I wouldn't recommend this accommodation for those who wish to stay for more than a week.
Hi Joakim, thank you for your view. Opportunity for cooking is (normally) only possible in an apartment. I understand, that you think it can seem ambiguous, since there after all were a kitchenette in your room, but it is intended for simple preparations like antipasto and heating of water for tea. I am happy however, that you after all had a pleasant stay in charming Lazise. Kind regards Marie Burheim, Product Manager
