Residence Roma is incredibly beautiful with direct views of Lake Garda on the coastal road between Malcesine and Val di Sogno valley. You can walk to the centre of Malcesine from here in approx. 20 minutes along a pleasant path along the lake.
With its location near the lake and Malcesine, and a lovely pool, Residence Roma is a real find for the money. New management took over the residence in 2013 and renovated the apartment building which houses about 25 apartments, most of which have balconies and views. In the green garden you will find the pool where you can enjoy the breathtaking view from a lounger in the shade of your umbrella. For the younger crowd, there is a children's section with shallow water at one end of the pool.

Located in the beautiful "Val di Sogno," which means dream valley, it is a unique place, and it was here that Ingrid Bergman and Roberto Rossellini used to love to spend their holidays. Residence Roma is on the "right" side of the coastal road leading down to the water, so the traffic is behind the building, where you also find the large car park. From here there are views of the mountains and large olive groves and the residence is on the right side of the coast road so the traffic is behind it. Residence Roma has a small desk, a small bar with a lounge and garden with swimming pool. The garden is approximately 100 metres to a small pebble beach. From the garden it is about 100 metres to the small pebble beach.
The apartments all have a larger or smaller living room with kitchenette, with two hotplates, Danish coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator. The apartments have a kitchen area, which also serves as a dining room, and several of the apartments have a double sofa bed in the living room. Many of the apartments have a balcony or terrace with table and chairs, and most of these have lake views. There is air conditioning, Wi-Fi internet connection, satellite TV, safety deposit box and a bathroom with shower and toilet in all rooms and apartments. Several of the apartments are on two floors, or on staggered levels connected by a staircase which is not especially suitable for the very young, old and the disabled.

Situated on the lake on the ground floor with a terrace. The apartment consists of a living room with a kitchenette and two single sofa beds, a loft with either two single beds or one double bed and bathroom. It is possible (for a fee) to add a fifth bed in this type of apartment.
The location is unique and the staff is very helpful. It is well kept and clean. We missed having a umbrella at the first floor.
It is a smaller, but lovely place. The view from the apartment out over the lake, with the mountains on one side of the lake, is very impressive. The pool is just down from the apartments and wasn't crowded, and there were also small patches of grass where you could sunbathe, along with some shadowy areas. We didn't spend much time by the pool, since the lakes beach was top. The water in the lake was clear, and there were round rocks in the lake and on the beach.
Like so many other, we enjoyed this place. This is an incredible 5-stars hotel and we have already decided to return next year.
The location, the view overlooking Garda and the staff gets 5 stars!
Super wonderful place with a wonderful view and very service minded staff.
The hotel lies about a 20 min walk away from Malcesine via a beautiful trip along the lake.
