Here you have the opportunity to stay in an apartment in a building that was used as a monastery between 1300 and 1600. It was also a strategic point because of its location in the Roman road Postumia. It has since been totally renovated and divided into four apartments which meet today's modern standards, yet still retain an authentic historic atmosphere.
Since La Mason lies on the edge of Soave vineyards, the area is very scenic indeed. It is also an ideal starting point for visits to some of the many interesting wineries and culinary stops at the many local restaurants. The highway that passes between Verona and Venice is barely 1 mile from the site and it is very easy to get around here, even to get to Venice or Lake Garda, which can be reached in approx. half an hour.
The apartments are housed in the main building which encloses the former cloister. They are either located on the ground or first floor, there is no elevator. There is a large private car park and a furnished common terrace where you can enjoy endless vineyard views and sights of small villages dotted around the countryside.
The decor is a mix of modern Italian design and traditional touches with an emphasis on both fun and practicality. All apartments have air conditioning, satellite TV, a music system, a safety deposit box, a washing machine, a kitchen with gas hob and a fridge, a bathroom with a shower and / or bath and hairdryer . For a supplement, there is internet access in the apartments.
We believe that the monastery itself, the environment surrounding the apartments, the apartments themselves and the reception that you get on the site collectively justifies 4 suns. It is clear that a swimming pool and a full vineyard view would improve the evaluation further, but we believe that the garden, the location in relation to excursions and quality of the apartments justifies the four suns. The apartments are situated on the ground floor or 1st floor and consist of a living area with a kitchen, a dining area and a double sofa bed, a bedroom with double or twin beds, one bedroom with two single beds or bunk beds, and a bathroom with shower and bath. All apartments have a washing machine either in the bathroom or in separate laundry room.
