Preganziol is about. 4 km south of Treviso and 23 km north of Venice along Il Terraglio which is the road that Napoleon built to join the canals of Venice to the beautiful city of Treviso.
Along Il Terraglio you can still admire the impressive noble villas on both sides of the road. Back then Stendahl described his journey through Italy, he was extremely impressed by their wealth and splendid architecture. The only difference between then and now is the existing transport. If you do not drive, it is possible to make use of the railway viaduct that connects Preganziol with many of the Veneto Region's glorious historical towns and cities: the medieval town of Treviso with its city walls from the 1500's is merely one of many; Venice and its canals, but also Conegliano, Vicenza, Verona, Padova and certainly worth a visit.
