Trattoria Dalla Rosa Alda is a cosy little restaurant and hotel with 10 rooms in the historic village of San Giorgio di Valpolicella. The atmosphere is steeped in history and the menu is full of authentic recipes that are typical of the region.
It is a real pleasure to arrive here in San Giorgio di Valpolicella which looks out over the beautiful wine country and vineyards all the way to the south-western shores of Lake Garda. The Dalla Rosa family run this little paradise and their warm welcome soon makes guests feel at home. On the other side of the street, they have their own wine cellar which is carved into the cliffs. You can visit the cellar, try and buy wines and local produce. The atmosphere in the cellar really is a testament to history and very much an experience in itself!

- There has been a trattoria on this site since 1853 and there is no one better than the Dalla Rosa family to prepare and serve delicious local dishes. The restaurant is closed on Sunday evening and all day on Monday all year. You can either dine in the cosy dining room or out on the patio with a view of the valley, and likewise for breakfast. Dalla Rosa Alda also has a wine bar carved into the rocks where it is possible to enjoy wine tastings and purchase local products. Their extensive wine list can beat most of the places around.
- The 10 rooms are nicely decorated with antique furniture. They are located on the 1st and 2nd floor (there is a lift) and face either the patio or the main street of the village. All rooms have air conditioning, TV, a telephone, a safety deposit box, internet and a private bathroom with toilet, hair dryer and shower.
There is free parking in the village of San Giorgio di Valpolicella which can be found approx. about 50 metres from the hotel. Wi-fi is also free and works best in the area around the restaurant.

Dalla Rosa Alda was a very lovely place. Kind and friendly hosts, really good food and wine as well. We got a lot of good suggestions for both wine producers and lunch places, dinners we at at Dialla Rosa, though. Excellent.
Our vacation in San Giorgio and Dalla Rosa Alda was really good. Comfortable and picturesque, small village, which offered a great view. Accommodation and food at Dala Rosa Alda was really good. Familiar and comfortable atmosphere. The hosting family was really hospitable. We wouldn't mind coming back here!
Good basis for trips trough the mountains along vineyards. A couple of restaurants within walking distance with good food and wine like at Dalla Rosa Alba. There is also a good, little cafe in the square with a fantastic view.
We enjoyed the lovely location with the amazing view from the little village, where nothing could interfere us.
Very close to different vineyards and close to Lake Garda, if you want to go for a swim or enjoy some nature.
The standard of the room was acceptable, but they are not so bright. The service and the atmosphere at the hotel was something special and not to forget their great restaurant!
The menu at the restaurant was limited, but the few option they had was local and delicious! And the wine option as well as the knowledge about the wine complete the whole of the term.
