Via Claudia Augusta is the name the ancient road that leads you to the hotel, and just the thought of this historical site was trampled by column of Roman soldiers, what could give you chills. Already in the year 47 AD, the villa functioned as a "hotel" and was a resting place for Roman soldiers. Here they could swap their horses when they were too tired to go on. The place has changed shape more than once over the past centuries. In the Middle Ages it became a castle, and the various historical events succeeded one after another until 1922, when it became the hotel it is today. At Villa del Quar one is proud of its heritage, and it is managed admirably.
The hotel is owned by the charismatic couple Maria Evelina Acampora and Leopoldo Montresor. Themselves are responsible for the daily operations along with a handpicked team of super professional staff, who manages to give the place the coziness and discretion, as it requires.
The lovely breakfast, which among other things consists of fresh juices, good meats, eggs and bacon, served in a beautiful orangery. At Villa del Quar you are flexible when it comes to meals, trying to adapt to guests' needs and wishes and of course you can enjoy your food under the open sky. The villa has a large and nice garden, which is framed by olive and lemon trees in pots. In the fields around you are close to the vines. In the shady garden you find a beautiful pool, so it is just to select a deckchair and settle down.
The hotel is housed in a former Venetian villa in Neoclassic style, which together with the many annexes, built over many years. The family lives in the main building, where also some of the resort's suites are decorated.
You live in the countryside in a beautiful landscape where you have all the ingredients for a nice relaxing holiday. La Valpolicella is an ideal area if you want to hike or trek, and there are beautiful cycling routes, far from traffic congestion on roads. Around you find several smaller villages, and to Pedemonte it is only a few km. Want a greater range of options, you can easily get to Verona which is just 10 km. away. If you choose to drive to the west, it brings you to Lake Garda and the picturesque small town of Lazise, at about ca. 26 km away.
Most of the hotel guests arriving by car or private driver, but if the trip takes place in the helicopter, there should be required an authorisation for a special landing.

Villa del Quar has a total of 25 rooms, which are spread over two blocks, and 3 different room types. We have selected two of these, namely the classic and deluxe.
The rooms are very tastefully decorated and all have different colours and details. Several of them have wood-beamed ceilings and all have timeless furniture. Several of the bathrooms are done in marble, and a few rooms have a pitched roof. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, satellite TV, wi-fi, minibar and hairdryer.
