Verona as a city trip destination

Verona is generally not your first choice for a city trip. After Rome, Florence, Venice and Milan you might think of Verona. Though if you have not been to Verona yet we truly suggest you should. Whether you are on your way south or east or coming back again, the city offers plenty of attractions for a one or two day visit. The hotel is located close to the Arena, where in summer outdoor opera’s are held. When you are with your beloved one, we suggest to check out “Casa di Guilietta” the house of Julia from Romeo and Julia and nowadays a pilgrimage location for couples. Touching the right breast of Julia’s statue should bring fortune in your relationship.

Furthermore there are many historical sights in the historical part of the city, such as the San Zeno church. A legend says that during the Adige inundation in 589, the water stopped on the doorway, sparing the believers who found refuge in the church.

Three full stars of service

Whether you come to Verona for business or leisure, hotel Mastino offers quality 3 star quality. You will find the hotel has a fresh character and breathes a relaxed atmosphere. It is located at very close walking distance form the historic center of Verona and 3 minutes from Piazza Bra, where you find an ambundance of trattorias, bars and shops. There is no restaurant housed in the hotel, only a breakfast room in the morning that serves an typical Italian buffet breakfast.

The hotel offers a small bar, though a slight disadvantage we found at In-Italia was the missing of the lounge. We couldn’t really find a space to enjoy our coffee or refreshment taken from the bar.

Complementing services are free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, parking garage at 18,- euro a day. If you wish to make use of a small wellness and fitness, a close by sister hotel offers these services.
