Hotel Porta Palio is a relatively new conference hotel, built in 1996 in a modern and fashionable design. You will find it well located being close to the historic heart of Verona and the train station Porta Nuova. It is outside the city walls but you can walk to the arena in approx. 15 minutes.
From the hotel, you can take a stroll to the cosy square Piazza San Zeno where there are several restaurants and bars. You can find plenty of restaurants in the area both inside and outside of the city's walls. Just opposite the hotel is a public swimming pool if you wish to cool off in the summer months.

Vi enjoyed our stay at Hotel Porta Palio in Verona.
The hotel was centrally located with only 20-25 minuts to the Arena.
The hotel is a bit worn, especially the rooms, very sparse. There were no kettle or any kind of self-service if you want a cup of coffee during the day.
I don't know what we had expected, but this places is too spartan.
But we had a great to-day stay in Verona with lovely weather.
